Yes, Yes...I do realize that it is December 27th. This is the first time since SEPTEMBER that I have had to BLOG. This is a very, extremely, very, very, extremely (did I make my point?) time demanding season. With the festivities of the Fall thrown on top of that I have been a little behind on the BLOG to say the least. It has been such a great Fall and I love that I have all of these photos to chronicle the adventures of our family. So let us take a due trip down Memory Lane.
We took the kids 'trick-or-treating' officially for the first time on Beard Street in Tallahassee with our dear friends, the Layerds and the Pooles. Cole and I had so much fun making his costume. On a whim I got a trunk load of Berber sacks from Tallahassee Nurseries with the idea that I might start making and selling these $55 satchels I saw in the coffee shop I love in Rosemary Beach. I told Tim, in the coffee shop, that I wanted to stand next to those bags and reprimand anyone who would buy those for such an outlandish price. They take what...$11 to make at the most??? Anyway, I took about 30 sacks home and I about choked to death my dryer. So then I pawned off half of them to my sister in law, and used a handful of them to make costumes. We used the van's net and some sea shells to finish it off.
Owen's costume, on the other hand, was a less developed thought. More of a rough draft. He wore a Darth Vader's suit, an eye patch, and a cutlass. I didn't realize how confused-pirate he looked until Margo asked me if he was a knight,a pirate or something else. Sorry Owen. Good thing you are cute enough to wear a trash bag and get away with it.
Lily and I dressed up as cowgirls and had a fun time piecing our costumes together. She let me borrow one of her shirts that Aunt Meggan gave to her. So fun!
Whitney was a lobster and I mean COME ON! So cute.
However, costume of the year had to go to Hays for his brilliance! (see below)
We had fun even though I walked about 4 miles in those boots. I was seconds away from getting on my hands and knees and crawling the rest of the way in front of Margo's neighbors, whom I had just met. Good times!

The first weekend of November we all drove down to Archer, Fl to join Cale and Tom as they celebrated her 60th birthday. We had a super FUN time seeing family and friends and celebrating Caley! Meggan made her a beautiful and yummy cake. Tim and I had a wonderful time visiting with the McSherry's...for the first time in over 10 years. I also have special memories of visiting Aunt Ann in her kitchen...one of my favorite places in the world! I will also remember this Saturday as a day that Whitney became increasingly vocal. She enjoyed all of the socializing and babbled more than we had previously heard her. It brought my heart a sense of joy and relief to hear her! Here are the pictures of that day:
